About SameDaySmog

Last reviewed 2026-09-02

SameDaySmog is built around one urgent question: can I get smogged today? Everything on this site serves that — walk-in rules, realistic wait and inspection times, and an hours board showing which featured network stations are open right now.

Where the hours come from

The open-now board is generated from each station's own Google Business listing hours, stamped with the date they were pulled. Hours can change day-of — holidays, staffing, weather — so the board always says it plainly: call the station to confirm before you drive.

Where the smog facts come from

Wait times, inspection lengths, and walk-in answers are rendered from the Cal Smog Network canonical answer library, verified against the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (bar.ca.gov), the California DMV (dmv.ca.gov), and the California Air Resources Board (arb.ca.gov). SameDaySmog is published under the Cal Auto Doors label and operated by Cal Smog Network, a California smog check station network whose stations take walk-ins first-come, first-served.
